The products
What's the difference between Mr. Regular Original and Mr. Regular +Prebiotic?
Mr. Regular Original is a 2-in-1 daily fibre blend of organic psyllium husk and Orafti® inulin, designed for smooth, predictable regularity. Mr. Regular +Prebiotic is a 3-in-1 blend that adds Solnul® resistant starch, a third prebiotic mechanism that feeds beneficial gut bacteria more deeply for long-term microbiome and gut-brain support. Original is the daily foundation; +Prebiotic goes further.
Which product is better value per dose?
The Original (33 doses at $39.95) offers the best value per serving at roughly $1.21 per dose. The +Prebiotic (21 doses at $39.95) is about $1.90 per dose, but adds Solnul® resistant starch — a clinically-studied ingredient you won't find in standard fibre supplements. Both deliver real results; the right choice depends on your goals.
Is Mr. Regular vegan, gluten-free, and dairy-free?
Yes to all three. Mr. Regular is 100% plant-based and vegan-friendly, gluten-free, and dairy-free, with no artificial colours, sweeteners, or preservatives. It's non-GMO and made in Canada — just clean ingredients with a natural creamy vanilla taste.
Can women take Mr. Regular?
Absolutely. The ingredients — organic psyllium, inulin, and resistant starch — are natural fibres that support digestive health for everyone. Whether your goal is daily regularity, reduced bloating, or long-term gut health, Mr. Regular is for anyone who wants a smooth, great-tasting daily fibre routine they'll actually stick with.

How to use it
What's the best time of day to take Mr. Regular?
Morning or evening — your call. The most important thing is consistency, not timing. Take one serving every day with water and stick with the time that fits your routine.
How do I prepare Mr. Regular?
Mix 2 teaspoons (about 7 g) of powder into 250 mL (8 oz) of cold water. Stir well and drink immediately, then follow with a full glass of water. New to fibre? Start with 1 teaspoon for the first few days, then build up to a full serving.
How long until I notice a difference?
Most people notice easier, more regular bowel movements within 3 to 7 days of consistent daily use. The prebiotic benefits — microbiome balance, reduced bloating, improved comfort — typically take 2 to 4 weeks. Consistency is what moves the needle.
Will it cause urgent or unexpected bathroom trips?
No. Mr. Regular is not a laxative. It doesn't stimulate the bowel chemically — it works by adding bulk and moisture naturally, producing gentle, predictable regularity rather than urgency. Start with one serving and stay well hydrated.
Can I mix it with something other than water?
Yes — it works well with cold water (our recommended baseline), milk, oat or almond milk and other plant-based alternatives, or blended into a smoothie. Avoid fizzy beverages and hot liquids.
How should I store it, and how long does a pouch last?
Keep Mr. Regular in a cool, dry place with the pouch sealed — no refrigeration needed. Use it by the best-before date printed on the pouch. At one serving a day, a pouch of Original lasts about a month (33 servings) and +Prebiotic about three weeks (21 servings).
Is it safe to take every day long-term?
Yes. Daily fibre supplementation is recommended by Health Canada and widely supported by clinical research. Psyllium, inulin, and resistant starch are well-studied fibres with strong safety profiles. If you have a health condition or take prescription medication, check with your doctor first.
The ingredients
What is psyllium husk and why is it so well regarded?
Psyllium husk is a soluble fibre from the outer shells of Plantago ovata seeds. Mixed with liquid it forms a gentle gel that moves through your digestive system, bulking and softening stool naturally. It's the fibre most recommended by gastroenterologists for regularity (2023 AGA/ACG guideline), and soluble fibre from psyllium is recognized by the FDA and Health Canada for helping lower cholesterol as part of a low-saturated-fat diet — at intakes (about 7 g/day) higher than a single serving. Mr. Regular uses organic psyllium husk, sourced without pesticides or synthetic fertilizers.
What is Orafti® inulin and why is it in both products?
Inulin is a prebiotic fibre from chicory root. Orafti® is the clinical-grade version — one of the most studied prebiotic ingredients in the world. Unlike fibre that just moves through you, inulin feeds beneficial gut bacteria, especially Bifidobacterium, producing short-chain fatty acids like butyrate that nourish your gut lining. It supports microbiome balance, works alongside psyllium, and may aid mineral absorption.
What is Solnul® resistant starch and what makes it special?
Solnul® is a clinically-studied type-2 resistant starch made from Canadian potatoes, exclusive to Mr. Regular +Prebiotic. It bypasses early digestion and reaches the lower intestine intact, where it selectively feeds beneficial bacteria. A clinical trial showed it increases Bifidobacterium and Akkermansia at just 3.5 g/day, supports the gut-brain connection, and supports smooth digestion without bloat.
Why no artificial sweeteners or flavours?
Because your gut doesn't need them. Some research suggests certain artificial sweeteners can disrupt the microbiome we're working to support. Mr. Regular is sweetened naturally with stevia leaf extract and monk fruit — clean taste, no aftertaste, nothing that works against the formula.

Lifestyle & diet
Do I need to change my diet to use Mr. Regular?
No. Mr. Regular is designed to fit your real life. That said, your gut responds better when you stay well hydrated (at least 2 L of water daily), include some vegetables or whole foods, and limit heavily processed foods where you can. None of that is a requirement — start where you are.
Can I take it if I'm on medication?
Psyllium fibre can affect the absorption of some medications if taken at the same time. Take Mr. Regular at least 1–2 hours before or after any prescription medication, and if you take medication for blood sugar, cholesterol, or thyroid conditions, check with your doctor first. When in doubt, ask your pharmacist.
Can I take Mr. Regular if I'm pregnant or breastfeeding?
The fibres in Mr. Regular — psyllium, inulin, and resistant starch — are foods, and dietary fibre is generally encouraged during pregnancy. As with any supplement, we recommend checking with your doctor or midwife before starting it while pregnant or breastfeeding.
Can children take Mr. Regular?
Mr. Regular is formulated for adults. Fibre needs and appropriate doses are different for children, so please consult your child's doctor or a pharmacist before giving it to anyone under 18.
Is it suitable for people with IBS or sensitive digestion?
Psyllium husk is one of the few fibres consistently recommended for IBS management. However, the inulin in both formulas is a fermentable fibre (FODMAP) that some people with IBS or severe gut sensitivity may find causes temporary bloating while the gut adjusts. If you have a diagnosed gut condition, consult your healthcare provider before starting.
About the brand
Why the name "Mr. Regular"?
Because being regular is underrated — and we wanted a name that was clear, direct, and didn't take itself too seriously. We just want to help people feel better every day. Mr. Regular is fibre that gets the job done. No fluff, just results.
Is Mr. Regular made in Canada?
Yes. Mr. Regular is a proudly Canadian brand, formulated and shipped from Canada. We ship to all provinces and territories across the country.
Why should I buy direct from mrregular.com?
Ordering direct means a direct relationship with the brand — faster support, easier communication, and knowing you're helping a small Canadian brand grow. Amazon is a great option too, but there's something different about buying direct from the people who make the product.
